Today’s Trades
DVAX – Gapped up and spiked on earnings this biotech has now pulled back and with an offering out 2 days ago down trended and gapped down $1 last night. Weakness in full force I’d be looking to short this if an opportunity presents itself today. Ideally a lower high with a clear risk level would be ideal. However with the offering at $15 I’ll be careful as it’s quite close to the current price.
HTZ – Big $3 move on earnings for this car rental company yesterday. Significant resistance at $18 so I’d be going long if the price can push through there today. Risk on g/r at $17.59 and my target will be at least $19 as this stock has the average range to achieve that and more.
ERI – Gaming and hospitality stock that’s hit ATH’s due to earnings yesterday. Closing near its highs I’d be interested in a continuation today. If it can break YHOD of $22.15 I’d be looking to go long. 1 Million shares of yesterday’s volume (5 Million total) came in at $21.90 so if this drops below that price level I’d be out. Ideally I’d like to see this hit $23.
HDSN – Air conditioning stock that hit ATH’s a/h on earnings last night. Dropped back down now but I’m definitely interested if this can get moving again. Ideally I want to buy a pull back after a spike for good risk reward (a downfall of mine lately I need to improve on). I’d like to see high volume and a push back to the $9.50 b/o level.
MYGN – Brought to my attention by Turbobob. This medical research stock had a huge $4 move yesterday on earnings. Held its gains into the close as well. I’d be interested in this continuing today if it can get above yesterday HOD at $28.18. I’d be out if this went red at $27.98. Tight stop but I can’t justify staying in if this goes red due to its huge move yesterday.
OMER – Nice $10 run up in June for this biotech and it’s on the move again via earnings yesterday. Has the ability to move $2+ in a day and closed right at its highs yesterday. If this spikes into the morning I’ll be looking at buying on a dip if it can find a base somewhere with a view to focusing on good risk reward set ups.
