BREAKING OUT
$LPTN
Technical Analysis - Bouncing nicely off of lows after earnings. Watching for a quick dip at the open and hold the 2.90 - 3.00 level. Or if it opens strong look for a b/o at 3.45 as it was strong resistance double topping on Friday.
Research - Up after earnings. 7.72 million market cap, 1.91 million float with 72,100 (3.8%) being short. Volume was strong Friday with 8 million shares being traded. Nasdaq, biotechnology industry and healthcare sector.
WATCH FOR VOLUME on these next four:
$LLNW
Technical Analysis - Watching for a quick dip at the open holding the 1.85 level as support. 2.00 is strong resistance so it would be better if it holds 2.00 as new support and it should if it's strong enough to truly b/o. Also watching for a b/o at 2.20 which is also strong resistance.
Research - Didn't find any news. 2.58 is 52 wk high. 208.3 million market cap, 64.75 million float with 1,023,600 (1.58%) being short. 600k volume is key as that is pretty much volume resistance. Nasdaq, business services industry and services sector.
$HHS
Technical Analysis - Watching for a b/o above 1.95 and get to 2.00 and hold if too late watch for a b/o at 2.10 which is probably the better and safer play because you are more sure of a b/o.
Research - Reported Q2 loss a couple weeks ago with presentation after that but it's not up big or down. 111.33 million market cap, 46.5 million float with 403,600 (.87%) being short. NYSE, marketing services industry and services sector.
$GBR
Technical Analysis - Watching for a b/o above 4.70 then a b/o above 5.70 would be impressive as it was resistance double topping the past week and quadruple top over the last month.
Research - Potential earnings winner. 7.94 million market cap, 944.61k float with 140,100 (16.81%) being short so this can squeeze. 5 - 10 million volume would be ideal. NYSE, independent oil and gas industry and basic materials sector.
$CALI
Technical Analysis - Watching for 3.00 to hold as support and a b/o above 3.15 as it is strong resistance then could test 3.50 but watch how it reacts to 3.30 as there is some resistance there.
Research - Up after earnings but barely so if this is a true earnings winner I am expecting a late reaction to earnings and could take off. 12.02 million market cap, 2.39 million float with 115,600 (4.84%) being short. Nasdaq, auto dealership industry and services sector.
LOOKING AT THE BIGGER PICTURE
$OCUL
Technical Analysis - After finding support at 6.80 which was former resistance it has bounced nicely and a b/o above 7.20 and hold would be key to this stock spiking hard.
Research - Even though this stock recorded a Q2 loss analysts gave it a outperforming rating. 203 million market cap with 18.51 million float with 2,390,400 (12.91%) being short. Nasdaq, biotechnology industry and healthcare sector.
$GBR Looking for this to maintain the $4s and look for an uptrend to enter into this and sell before it reaches the $5 and if it does not hold the $4, would look for this to hold the $3s for support for a dip buy opportunity
$CALI Doesn't really look like it jumps too often, definitely wait for some stronger price movement before getting into this
OCUL 7.2s would be nice b/o with goal of selling before the 7.7s overall looks good if it can do this
@Hierophant18 This is just a watchlist I'm not saying this is what these stocks are going to do but if they do happen to get attention and break these key technical levels then I am anticipating what they can and need to do to truly b/o and be a good stock to buy. These stocks are simply approaching key technical levels and I want to see how they can react if they can test those key technical levels and if they do what I want them to do then I will be prepared and execute my plan.
