On this day, generational history was made as the first ever in my family history to complete a Doctorate Degree program while developing a path with helping to improve people's future with training programs in areas of economic hardship.
My brother and I never really had a father because our father deserted us and eventually became a statistic to the drug epidemic in the 1990's. My Mom, realizing the bad environment my brother and I were enduring, did her best to take us out of that type of environment so we could have a chance in life.
After moving away from that bad environment, I had learning disabilities throughout my childhood and struggled to even keep up with normal course work in elementary and high school. My
Mom enrolled me into different educational programs during summer months to catch up with the learning I needed to have a chance to achieve educational competence.
Thank you, Mom for taking care of my brother and I as a single parent when our father was never around. You raised lions.
I appreciate it.
During high school, I struggled to maintain graduation requirements to obtain a high school diploma. Not that I was a bad student, but I struggled with a couple of academic subjects. Furthermore, there was a lot of school bullying during my years in high school. It was so bad that most of the time I would walk miles back home from school just to not have to confront people.
I didn't even attend my high school graduation because of the miss-treatment that I had to deal with during those 4 years in high school. I even picked up my high school diploma at the administration office days after my high school graduation.
There was one person however, that saw something inside me and she never stopped believing in me while taking the time out of her class schedule to help me learn even when at times I didn't think I could learn fully myself.
Kelly, a teacher from my high school that still helps science and special education students and who I still communicate with today, went above and beyond for me to help me learn in the class subjects I struggled in while I was going through special education curriculum.
Thank you, Kelly for your patience and seeing something in me that most others didn't see in me. I appreciate it.

During my childhood, I spent time at a toy and ice cream shop that Lenny still to this day is running and became very successful. I knew Lenny since I was thirteen years old and over time, Lenny showed me how to stay young at heart and to have fun while not always being serious about everything in life. He also showed me that you can become successful in an independent way by thinking creatively and finding your own niche.
Thank you, Lenny for being a good friend and also treating me always as part of your family. I appreciate it.
Shortly after graduating high school, I joined the military and served my country for 4 years. I didn't want to pay for the high and ridiculous amounts of college tuition to get a decent education, so I decided to take a risk in my life with the opportunity to increase my chances of having a brighter future. I'm glad I took that risk when I was 18 years old because my life hasn't ever been the same.
The military has done a lot for me for serving my country for 4 years. I will always be greatly appreciative for how the military has set me up to have the resources to be successful.
I was able to fortunately gain a person that gave me a chance during my military career which I will always have high respect for in my life. Micheal gave me sound advice that helped eventually open new opportunities in other areas of my life after being honorably discharged from the military.
Thank you, Michael for giving me a chance and contributing into setting a strong foundation in my life. I appreciate it.
Fortunately, I worked at one point for a boss that turned into a close friend, then turned into a mentor and father figure at this point in my life. Jarett, a person who has guided me in different aspects of my life both academically and professionally, opened my eyes to different areas in business and finance while being hard on me to bring out the very best in me.
Thank you, Jarett for taking the time to provide your best mentorship, fatherly advice, and guidance in my life. You're the best father one could ever have. I'm forever grateful and I appreciate it.

I was fortunate enough to find another mentor that helped me find my expertise in the business and finance world. Timothy, a person who mentors finance students, showed me the opportunities in small but yet, effective niches that I wouldn't have obtained nearly the success I would have today if it wasn't for him and his educational material.
Thank you, Timothy for everything and your relentless dedication to help finance students become successful. I appreciate it.
During my life, I've been fortunate to have friendships and family members that I'm appreciative of and to see their own accomplishments so far in life. Thank you to all my friends and and family who helped me a long the way.
I wish you all future success in all of what you're striving to accomplish in your lives. Again, thank you for your friendship and support. I appreciate it.
Thank you, to my wife for being a beautiful woman both inside and out while making me grow mentally, physically, and spiritually. Your support is cherished and I'm very proud and grateful to be your husband. I appreciate it.
Travis and I grew up together throughout our high school years and became best friends. I was always amazed by his intellect and in a way, it pushed me to further my learning and education. I think in some ways we pushed each other to grow and achieve our potential because we always had different strengths.
Who would've thought we would graduate in our respective fields at the highest academic level in the same year? I don't think anybody other than God could foresee that. Congratulations on your Doctorate Degree my friend. I know how difficult it was to accomplish that and I'm very proud of you as always, Dr. Travis.
Thank you, Dr. Travis for helping me in many facets. I appreciate it.
Thank you, Robert for being a good friend. I appreciate it.
Thank you, Grandpa and Grandma for your time and making me wiser in life well beyond my years when I was a child. Thank you for teaching me the importance of nutrition, dieting, exercise, and taking care of my health on a consistent basis. I appreciate it.
Thank you, to the rest of my teachers for your guidance and commitment towards Doctoral students while trying to make a positive impact in both the academia and business world. Thank you for pushing my critical thinking beyond my limits to reach a new plateau. I appreciate it.
Thank you, God for giving me the spiritual guidance, patience, mindfulness, and self dedication to trust in myself to evolve as a human being. I wouldn't be where I'm at today without you and completing the most difficult milestone I've done in my life nor would I even reach this point in my life if it wasn't for you. I appreciate it.
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing, and perfect will."
Romans 12:2, NIV
Lastly, I want to thank myself for not giving up in my life and not being afraid to go through tribulation after tribulation to finally reach this point. If only you all knew of what my brother and I endured throughout our childhood years, you'd think reaching this point would be an impossible task despite all the odds against us.
From finishing #155 ranked out of #193 high school graduation students, I believed in myself that I was more capable than what my grades have shown in the beginning of my educational years in elementary and high school. My determination since elementary and high school just kept growing as I got older and I'm still motivated today. It's been an incredible climb and there's a lot more climb to go.
Thank you, to myself for having the grit to create the life I want to have, turning my childhood disabilities into my greatest strengths, to not accept what life initially gave me, to move forward despite the challenges in front of me, embrace what God has given to me in my life both in the past and present, and to strive to be the best version of myself that I can be.
Now that I'm done with formal education completely, time to evolve and put all my efforts into trading, investing, and knowledge in stocks!
