Entry: I saw this stock about to break-out around 3pm and hesitated. When it broke out, I decided to jump in and buy. All the indicators were good. However, I needed a quick update on my TWS platform and did not get the initial entry I wanted. Thus, I got in 1000 shares @0.2990. I guess I can say I chased it dumbly, because I was not prepared with my broker opened. I held it overnight thinking it would spike in the morning.
Exit: I jumped in missing one big piece of the puzzle - The stock earlier announced an 8 million offering at the price share of 0.27. It did not spike in the morning, probably because of the warrants being executed. I exited at 0.288 for a small loss and roughly break even.
Comments: Happy that I found the right chart pattern and been able to recognize it. However, I saw this stock for the first time around 3pm and I got sidetracked by my broker's update instead of looking through news. Otherwise, I would have seen the warrants news. Got out for roughly break even but I waited too long. More importantly, I had the opportuniy to sell premarket @0.357. I did not because I was hoping for the spike even after realizing the missing news. Lesson learned. Take profits and do not jump in right away when something sidetracks me (like my broker's update) and make sure to see all the recent news around the timeframe/price action in which i'm at.
