This is an important milestone for me.  I joined the Challenge on April 13th, 2020, and I have learned a lot about the stock market since then.  When I joined, I knew absolutely nothing.  I'd watch the posts in the chatroom and I was so confused.  After months of study, I have become proficient in the trading language.  I just passed my 100th trade milestone, and I am ready to really get serious about making more trades to build up my experience.

 

     I discovered trading as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.  I wrote about my experience in my first blog post, "Millionaire Challenge: Baseline."  Back then, I was mainly just looking for a way to make money without having to worry about messing up my unemployment benefits.  I found out quickly that this wasn't an easy way to make money.  This would be a lifetime pursuit if I wanted to make anything worthwhile.  So in June, I joined the Lifetime Challenge.  From that point on, I became dedicated to make this into a new career for myself.

 

     The longer I immerse myself in the markets, I find that I don't want to go back to work at the casino.  It is a toxic environment to work in.  Many of my co-workers are negative people, more likely to bitch about problems than to solve them.  I have always had an optimistic attitude, so this never did jive well with me.  I have decided to accept my current jobless situation as extremely fortunate, because I can sit at home collecting unemployment while learning how to trade!

 

     Eventually I will have to go back to work, but I am planning on joining a brand new casino.  I really love the freedom being a slot tech gives me.  I plan on hopefully getting a swing shift so that I can trade during the day.  I should be able to fit in study time at work when any projects are finished early.  

 

     I am still interested in options trading, but I have decided to focus on learning Tim's strategy first.  I do want to trade in that market eventually though.  I am a lifetime member of Evolved Trader as well, so I have time to learn. I am really excited to see what I can do in that market when I know what I am doing.

 

     I spend about 10 hours per day studying, and I am thankful to have the time to be able to do that.  I know in my gut that I can do this, even after experiencing a small losing streak at the beginning of this year, I am still convinced I can do this.  I will be part of the 10% that Is successful.  I am thankful for my trading friends that I have met so far.  I look forward to supporting their successes this year too.  I'm nine months into the Challenge, and I'm feeling pretty good!
