First off, where did September go and why did it literally feel like 3 days?! Anyways, this month has been an absolute turning point for me in terms of getting my mind right and following my process. There were a couple days which I let my discipline go (17th 20th and 21st), but I don't do that anymore. I have kept small size using $10 risk throughout the month, and I have jumped leaps and bounds in terms of cleaning up my trade selection, only focusing on my best setups, and just putting all of my lessons together. I also put a ton of emphasis on trading psychology and truly "finding my zone" as well as focusing on more of the mental side of trading than the technical. The last week of this month I have taken my mindset to a different level I haven't had before. I am starting to find a consistent footing of the exact criteria my setups need as well and finding my ideal mental state to find my trading zone. This change alone has allowed me to be much more in tune with the price action and to just observe when my edge presents itself then to capitalize with no hesitation. I know exactly what my edge needs and I am not trading unless that criteria is there, and clearing up this area of discipline has formulated my zone in such a short time. I could go on and on about what I have changed as of late but it is all stuff I have been talking about recently but now is finally becoming natural to my trading. Specifically, in the last week of this month, I more than doubled my win rate from under 35% to over 70% just by putting all of my lessons together. I am now finally finding consistency in my setups, my mental outlook, and everything in between. Practice makes permanent, and from now on it is just rinse and repeat to prepare for when the hot market comes in the future. I also am glad I have been able to adapt very well to this choppy market environment because it is times like this that are the true test for getting ready for when the follow through comes back. For now, my mind is at an opportunistic approach, remaining neutral and unphased, and never expecting anything to happen, because the market outcomes are random and no one knows what exactly will happen next. It's all about observing the in the moment price action and being patient for when my edge presents itself, checking my criteria, executing my exact plan, then moving onto the next. All in all, I am ready for October to keep furthering my process and staying in check with all of my rules. Let's get after it.
