think or swim/TD Ameritrade has free level 2 no deposit required just create an account with them

Yes, it's possible. Level 2 allows you to nuance short-term timing, but if you have a larger time horizon then it is less important. Level II can also have substantial noise especially on listed stocks, so the chart is often more important.

@LS3VETTE Suretrader IS NOT cheap. They advertise 5 dollar commisions. And the first two additional fees are no sweat. But the third fee is very painful. The ECN fee. Makes what should have been a 10 dollar play a 20 0r 30 dollar commisions play. Have a small account? watch it shrink on your smaller plays

@SethMcClain , the ECN fee is only applied if you go over 1000 shares.. as long as you don't go over 1000 shares you don't get the additional fee.

Yes the ECN fee there with any platform, as I understand, esp with penny stocks. Etrade's free trading for 2 months has been terrific. May be worth joining just for that.

This stock downtrending since a while. I was watching this stock since a while. It spike one day or two then it dive again. the company seems don't care about their stock. the weird thing with this stock everytime they got contract and they got a lot, it goes down.

MiddleTrader
MiddleTrader May 15, 16 9:27 AM

So simply what I want to say. if the stock doesn't react to good news just ignore, or have alert when it hit certain price to watch it.

@LS3VETTE your possition size should be based your account or risk/reward. You should never trade all your account only about 5-10% in my opinion unless your account is very very small..

If you're asking people for there views about position sizing then you shouldn't be trading. You need to ask yourself if you're comfortable with that!

No it just means promoters will jump on any news and try to blow it out of proportion. Then they will try to take credit for the alert to attract more traders in the future

@ERtrader12 , do you typically buy into pump and dumps? Seems like they could make us some nice profits

@awrfisher If you do buy into a pump n dump, be careful and get out as soon as you have profits or it starts to go against you

What made you look into HEAR? How did you find out about it? What is new earnings winner?

SnipeRTrades
SnipeRTrades May 12, 16 10:11 AM

@LS3VETTE I was looking at HEAR because it was a new earnings winner and I like to buy earnings winner since they can run for awhile and I like playing a stock that has a catalyst for moving. A earnings winner is when a company reports good earnings from the last quarter or beats analyst expectations. And I found it by just doing my research at night as I made my watch list. Checking scanners for percent gainers, message boards, blogs. This one specifically showed up as a percent gainer. hope t
