Tim Sykes Mid Week Update: TTOO, ACB, NPTN, EVER
TTOO: Tim reported this stock moved 45% yesterday after announcing a beneficial technology add on deal, however the chart resulting from this news didn't hold at all. In reality the difference from open to the high was 14 cents and the difference from the day's low to the spike at the end of the day was only 12 cents. Not the type of gain I'm looking for, so if I'm buying tomorrow there better be a lot of volume and volatility.
ACB: A lot of news has been putting cannabis stocks down recently so I would caution this one. Spiked 15% at the day's open with a gain of roughly 45 cents per share (more if you hit it right at the low) due to increased revenue guidance, which is more of my top of profit. However, the chart the rest of the day is a snore... Needs more news if it's a buy any other time this week.
NPTN: Revenue reports made this ticker spike 15%. I had my eye on this one all morning yesterday and finally gave up, but this ticker proved itself by increasing almost a dollar a share through the course of the day. I'm not the type to sit and watch all day, so looking for another morning spike if there's news.
EVER: Would have been a sweet cash out for those who held this stock prior to it's revenue release yesterday for a six dollar a share gain. Throughout the day it spiked 40% higher for a three dollar per share gain, looking to see if this trend will continue or if there will be a massive short. This stock is too pricy for me though, so I'm just learning here.
ACHN: what a great dip buy yesterday! Although it seemed to be off of nothing. Definitely missed out on it but watching to see what happens today. No news recently but is releasing earnings on the 8th, so keeping an eye out for that.
TLRA: has been on a multi-month breakout and released earnings towards the end of the trading day yesterday; the earnings call reported a 47% revenue gain year-over-year and that this was it's first profitable 2nd quarter in company history. The earnings were announced before open yesterday and the chart completely tanked. Looking to see if perhaps a late breakout from news will occur or if this company is done for a while. It's a little out of my price range right now.
CODX: was a rollercoaster yesterday; supposed to have released earnings yesterday according to ETrade but there weren't any reports... Still looking today for an opportunity to sell at the highest I can.
HMY: Popped up on my radar yesterday because it was hitting new highs. It didn't have a lot of volume but I'm keeping an eye on it due to the long term chart. Been moving upward since June... Gold and oil were hot prior to the US/China trade war so watching to see what happens here.
LONE: Had about a forty cent gain over the course of the trading day yesterday for a 28% gain. Just watching to see what this will do today; not expecting much unless there's news because this company already released earnings Monday. Possible crash in the morning since it ended high, with resistance at 2.80ish and support at 2.60ish.
INFN: releases earnings today after market close! Long term chart isn't the best but it looks like this could be trying to come back up. Moved for a 20 cent gain yesterday and closed higher, so either the earnings will create a short or this will breakout even further.
APRN: This former runner is releasing earnings today premarket, looking for a good release. Had a gain of about a dollar a share yesterday...
