90% of people are like this. In order to be a profitable trader you have to be a "good loser". Meaning being able to cut losses quickly. Being a good loser is counter intuitive for most people thats why a lot of people fail.

Sometimes when you're in a bad trade, it will return to b/e (break even) and struggle to go your way. The algos are trading against you. At that point you should just admit defeat. It's like they give you a chance to get out but your ego will inject hopium. Then the algos screw you later. So learn from it. Video lessons on cut losses quickly.

Same here bro..i broke tims rules and my own rules got burned. I was up about $40-45 for about 2 minutes worth of work on SGOC second bounce. I WAS GREEDY! i wanted more when it dropped I broke my own rule and avg. down to minimze loss thinking it could bounce. Didnt cut losses! AS LONG AS WE ARE AWARE WE ARE MAKING MISTAKES WE CAN FIX THEM! keep your head up! great post

Thanks for this post i needed it...I also loss big today, i was chaser smh $SGOC killed me. I kept going back in and trading it because I felt defeated, I felt like a bully was taking my lunch money and I wanted revenge, but it only burnt me in the end. Like Tim said "Hope is not a strategy" and every time i went in i was using hope as mine. But thanks again

Yeah I kept shorting one after another until my account at IB told me that I was in a margin violation. I finally snapped out of it and went long, bought and sold to get myself out of the hole. Lesson learned.
