So I'm at work last night. I had bought, and lost, on DRWI earlier in the day. But I still like it, and its charts. So at 3:55pm, I bought 500 shares at 1.06, knowing I would have to sit on it until the next morning. I probably wasn't the best read, but I was willing to take the chance. Market closed at 1.11, so I'm up $25. I saw this next thing coming, but not to this extreme. Within 40 minutes, the stock jumped up to 1.50, a 41% rise!! I'm ready to sell now, but I can't. All kinds of visions were dancing in my head. Were the profit takers going to come out and drop the price into the ground? Would the momentum continue and have the stock jump above 2? I now had completely no control. The next 3 hours were painstaking!! Luckily, the price hovered between 1.42 and 1.48. Closed around 1.43.
Fast forward to the morning. I wake up to see the stock is now priced at 1.27. I almost got sick. How does this happen before premarket?? Luckily for me, it slowly rebounded to 1.42. I thought I would put a stop order in at 1.40, guaranteeing me a good profit, but leaving the door open for more growth. Unfortunately, you can't place stop orders pre-market. I now have 5 minutes before I have to get ready for work. Sold it all at 1.42! A 36% profit!! I'll said it once, and I'll say it again. NEVER buy any stock w/o an out. In my case, that would be not under the PDT rules!!
Hello! i am in need of some help. looking at the charts for this stock, what clued you to it jumping so much?
@Taylorh246 I actually saw it Wed morning on STT. It popped up right away in Oracle. I liked the A/M jump on Tuesday. I had no idea it would jump that much!
