No trades today. Didn't see anything I really liked, but will go over what I was looking at and perhaps what I'm looking forward to tomorrow.
There was a cool dip buy opportunity on CLSI this morning, but I really don't know this set up well enough to confidently buy on this play. So I'm starting to track it to see odds on this setup and what indicators/criteria is required for a good dip buy.
SPNV also had a cool midday perk pattern, but again, I don't feel like I know this setup well enough so tracking as well.
Also tracking premarket breakout patterns.
CLSI OTC(Morning Dip Buy)
Mkt Cap 31.85M
Shares 362.29M
Float 193.88M
Dipped at open to .0839, which is about -9 % from previous close. Jumped back up real quick passed the red/green lvl to .095 which is about a 13% gain. All within 3 minutes.
Couple of things I noticed.
- After a first green day
- The bounce from the dip ended up @ or around previous day's highs
- It bounced from the support level @ or around where there was the most consolidation from previous day.
- Volume
- on the dip 270k(1st minute)
- beginning of bounce 192k(2nd minute)
- volume as moved to top of bounce 92.3k(3rd minute)
- total volume previous day 9.46M(1st green day)
- total volume Oct 1st 21.1M(The level the stock bounced to after dip)
- total volume today 6.12M
- The previous day, stock closed near it's highs. Those highs are a key level from October 1st. As it could not break that high on that day and got stuffed. You can see from the chart below, it broke it today but just could not hold it.
SPNV OTC(Midday Perk)
Mkt Cap 70.61M
Shares 156.57M
Float 129.12M
SPNV has been on an uptrend the last couple of days. It goes up in the morning but always seems to sell off towards end of the day. It spiked in the morning to .4852(7.5% from close) which was yesterday's highs, then consolidated until 12pm where it perked up to around .5197(7.5%), dipped then went up to .5284(5.4%). In total, assuming I held from open, it would've been a 20.4% profit. Seems to be lots of different levels of resistance above.
Couple of things I noticed
- Broke out and consolidated around weekly/previous highs before perking up in afternoon
- Morning spike was consolidated around yesterday's highs
- Morning spike and perk % was about the same(7.5%)
- 3rd green day
- Stock has trouble holding it's gains
- Volume
- Today 9.78M
- Yesterday 6.52M
- 10.3.19(The previous weekly high) 17.4M
On Watch
CLSI, still looking for some kind of news or more volume to break past previous highs.
SPNV, brokeout today but on really low volume. Watching to see what it does tomorrow.
UNRG, LVCA - Don't think these are going to do much tomorrow, but on watch for big moves up. UNRG has nice chart.
