I daytrade the market open long. I mostly paper traded until Dec 2022. I started with 5 000 dollars and the account is down to around 3 000 dollars. Biggest win ever (paper and money account) 301 dollars, biggest loss ever 88 dollars. 30 trades in August 2024. The account is down 12 dollars in August and down 182 dollars in 2024. Biggest win 2024 21 dollars, biggest loss 88 dollars. Usually I trade with small wins and losses. The winning percent is too low to increase size. Winning percent 46 (mean 2024: 45). Percent target trades 93 (mean 2024: 87) Win/loss ratio 0,65. 8% of the traded stocks were rated above 65 on the Sliding Scale. I study videos on YouTube: Tim Sykes, Tim Bohen, Ross Cameron "Chat Guy", SMB Capital, Jared Wesley, Humbled Trader. I am slowly focusing in on my problems with execution. I rarely exit the trade on my planned exit. Cut losses quickly is hard to combine with wide stop-losses. What I need to learn is how to let the winners run without ending up being flushed out. This month I have tried to watch the 5-min chart, it is less scary than the 1-min chart. When I check for videos on YouTube on Quit Trading all say keep on. I look forward to the day when I dig myself out of the loss and pass 0.
