I daytrade the market open long since April 2020. I did plan to trade until the trading capital 5000 dollars was gone. I paper traded until Dec 2022 and then traded real money. Now the account is down to 2002 dollars (courtage, fees and taxes included). It's hard to get through 5 years of trading with an account that's slowly bleeding out. I'm considering quitting trading instead of letting the remaining $2002 disappear. When I began trading I thought that I would blow up the account or that I would get it and start earning money. I didn’t expect this slow decline in the trading account. This month I have traded much less, some days no trade at all. Trades in April 15. The trading result in April is -17,26 dollars. Winning percent 36%. The trading result April 2020 to March 2025 is -838 dollars when courtage, fees and taxes are excluded. Courtage in April is 60 dollars. Biggest win ever (paper and money account) 301 dollars. Biggest loss ever 88 dollars. Percent target trades in April 80, mean Jan-April 87. Winning percent in April 36, mean Jan-April 58. Mean 2024 48. In the trading diary for April I find the following mistakes: I did forget to delete a buying order for 24h, it was not executed. One unintentional double entry. Entered a trade below the planned entry for unknown reasons, got out 53c below the entry. In another trade I was not focused and forgot that I had not entered my planned entry on the platform. Chased both of my top watches, one unintentional double entry. Both turned out non-target trades. Held and hoped, got out 22c and 45 c below the stop-loss.
