Whats up amigos? I sincerely hope you all did better than i did today. I was considering funding my account today, but i was tied up last night and couldnt get my market research time in. I didn't fund my account and I'm SOOO happy i didnt! Today has been my worst day in markets to date! Add me on snapchat to see my day live, username; gferry123.
first trade of the day was $MGT Long from .65 to .69, I bought on news that John McAfee was named CEO. He was known for his line of anti-virus software so i though this had some room to run, SPOILER ALERT: IT DIDNT!!!! I got in at the top and out at the top. I will be keeping this on my watchlists however.
Second trade of the day was on $MHGC. I saw an almost 40 cent change premarket. I chased and I got in at 2.03 and i was out at 2.01. This was my first loss. only a 1% loss overall and I cut my losses quickly. i entered this with the intention that it would be a longer position for me. The multi month chart had supported this but it went against me, i panicked and got out. it's currently at 1.81 so i believe i cut my loss at a good time.
third trade of the day was $QTMM Long from .16 to .18. this was mentioned in a newsletter recently and it jumped from .12 to .20 at one point. I tried to get in early enough to catch a decent percentage, I ended up having a 12% gain which isnt bad, just not amazing. In and out pretty quick.
finally we're at a longer play i entered, $XCO. I shorted at 1.71 with a longer term position in mind. It tested multi month resistance at 1.80s and immediately started dropping. I believe this could be a decent multi day short position. I'm a fan of these multi-day plays seeing as when i do fund my account, i'll be under the PDT rule.
Any feed back you all have to offer on these plays would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read through this and good luck in the markets amigos! DONT CHASE and LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES!!!!
Not a problem, Your first trades you are going to mess up ,everyone does at the beginning then you learn what not to do. Try smaller positions from now on. Once you have more experience then you can size up. Cut Losses Intelligently, Or Cut loses Quickly.
