New Challenge Student. Just my study thoughts. Recently started trading. Not expecting anyone to read this. For "diary" purposes only.

Starting to click! Solid, safe win today: NIHD 10% gain; 500 shares in $1.02, out $1.12 all p/m. Small profit on my small account.
Catalyst: partnership news, up 39% p/m at 7:44ET, and multi-week b/o.
Missed my entry at $0.88 because as I was writing out my trade plan after I read the news, it started spiking lol. Caught it at $1.02 (shoulda/coulda been $0.98 off dip) and got out p/m at $1.12 as I wasn't confident how it would react at the opening bell.
"WHEN IN DOUBT, GET OUT" and part of getting out is "LOCK-IN PROFITS." :-)
It did spike to $1.22 FAST out the gate in the first two minutes, but glad I exited safely beforehand as I've been BURNED previously with quick spikes that death dropped immediately thereafter. Rather be safe with a 10% win than have a heart attack trying to get 20% lol

Also have BLDP o/n hold from last night, 200 shares at $2.80. At the moment (noon ET) it's up .07 on a sloooooowwww grind up.
Catalyst: $18M contract winner and a/h multi-day b/o.
Didn't get much volume today, so just gonna monitor it and perhaps hold o/n again thru tomorrow in case this has a delayed spike off what I consider strong fundamental news.

Main lesson learned today: PATIENCE PAYS. Gotta wait...wait...wait...waiiiiiiittttttttt for the perfect set-ups to get the odds in my favor then - and only then - pull the trigger. If the set-up isn't ideal, it's ok to walk away.
