I just found out that my broker in sweden needs to check my credit score to let me short stocks.

I dont have a perfect or good credit score, i know for a fact that i did not pay one of my medical bills wich did end up as as unpaid bill, and i did got a collection notice.

i now have a bad credit because of my debt of 800 usd. 

So do i need to have a good credit score to be able to short stocks with suretrader or any other broker?

 

if thats the case then i am fucked for sure...

 

Even if i pay my debt totday and be debt free, the fucking debt marks will last for 3 fucking years, 3 YEARS!
