This trade gave me a bad test in my mouth. News was released midday and could have sold EASILY at .67 close to a $500 profit but failed to hold .60s and took a ride down the pipes through the .50s. I need to learn to take profits when on the table especially with very speculative stocks!
Small overnight position. It was up nice AH on now news so I wanted to sell into a morning spike which worked out perfectly. Left another $400+ on the table but it's all good. Took my meat and realized it quick.
I messed up this trade royally!!! I am bashing my head against the wall because my plan was to hold due to surging buys. I thought this was going to crack early morning so I panic sold at 1.15 to realize profits. But as soon as I sold, BOOM! She takes off running fast all the way to 1.70s!! Could have been an EASY $4,000 + profits within the matter of minutes.
My new biggest win! Not to mention I left over $7,000+ on the table!!!!!!!! ARRRGHH!!!! It was a conservative trade that was up huge on eliminated debt news which was positive. As Tim Sykes said, "This is a trade that has eliminated my bad trade sins" lol
Had news but apparently it was old news and didn't pop the way I wanted it to so settled for a loss because there were no buyers.
Had contract news but no real reaction to news so got out at market open and sold into a strong bid that got torn down quick. Glad I did sell because this eventually plummeted.
Got burned on this junk bad. It's time to focus on my rules and follow through with them. Trying to find a balance between cutting losses quickly and cutting them intelligently.
This was an easy short as this kept bouncing off of support late Friday before close. Left another $200 on the table so I was right on track with my short.
I absolutely lost my mind on this. I was for sure this would morning spike because of good news (even though it was sort of weak) but it failed miserably. Trades like this should NEVER happen! I broke all rules here. Lesson learned!
