Beautiful break of support on BITO, with huge $BTC support crack over the weekend. Crypto and stock market been so weak. Only risked $480 on this trade. Would have been nice to risk more on a classic setup, however I was scared for a crypto bounce off of multi month support. My crypto portfolio is trash right now, but at least this feels good. @evolvedtrader alert.

very very poor discipline. Followed online alert for this trade - thesis was looking for a bounce play as $SPY was at range support (low at $407). 1st mistake: got in a trade b/c someone alerted & wanted to try thesis, but entered w/o set R:R. Allowed stock to fall past week lows, and $SPY to keep dropping "hoping" for a bounce. 2nd mistake: No discipline in cutting losses quickly. 3rd mistake: ADDING to a losing position. Bought 10 shares at .13, then 10 at .1, then 10 at .07. Wrong wrong wrong

Evolved trader alert. Thesis was BTC would move with SPY, which likely found a bottom. BTC very boring chart with no volume this Friday. I just don't want to be in it. Not patient enough, I guess, but it keeps falling. BITO is such a p.o.s. stock. And even though SPY is up 7 on the day, BTC and BITO is doing nothing. Not my kind of play - hoping for a bounce. Shouldn't be in it. Let this be a reminder!

Entry comments: Expecting a long term bounce towards $470, but also expecting a good bounce from earnings announced on Thursday. This is a gamble, but market is bouncing, retail bouncing, and COST is a membership based retail model and more oversold that $TGT & $WMT.

Exit comments: Thursday morning it gapped up to $449. I waited an hour for it to pass morniing HOD at $453. Not huge volume and struggled a bit, but sold into push over $453. My strike was way too far out at multimonth resistance. Should have paid for a closer strike, like $450. Oh well. Good almost 130% profit. Planning on a gap up with earnings today and will buy puts around $465/470.

Entry comments: Evolved Trader alert. Oil still in play. Recently tested highs at $69 before a pull back. Had a sharp pullback this am from $66 to $63. Opened this position EOD around high $64s. Moving up a/h a bit. Looking for retest of highs near $69. Everything is news and market dependent. $SPY looks to have found a near term bottom. Hopefully there's a rising tide to lift all boats.

Exit comments: Price action tripped me up. Mark sold into spike of break over $66 this am, which always trips me up and pulls the volume. I stayed in b/c it made higher lows. Was getting choppy and overall volume was less than previous two days. Yesterday's highs at 66.49. I sold half into break of high of day (1.08), then kept waiting towards push of yesterdays HOD, then sold rest when stock at 66.40 (premium 1.19). It consolidated rest of morning around 66.50-60. Better to take it off and not stress.

Saw the parabolic drop sub 415, I bought around $410 (was at work and timing worked out since I knew there'd be a bounce/risk @ $400), so I bought one starter call; fell to $406, then came back with volume and spiked into close. Swung over weekend and Monday closed it at highs near $430. This was my short term COSt bounce play. Opened one for June expecting a bounce to multi month res @ $470.

This was a JPA trades alert. I liked the thesis/idea of catching a bounce on these stocks. It just kept moving down, and I couldn't stay in the trade more than 30 minutes. Shows my lack of direction, chasing alerts, and not creating my own thesis and sticking to a plan. Trying to break these novice tendencies by journaling, creating good plans with solid R:R, and not chasing alerts - or at least studying the why to alerts.

Upsetting trade. COST down fat today with poor $W and $TGT earnings, so all retail down. I was patient w/ this, and looked at longterm support. Entered around 8:30am with volume. Bought starter position calls for bounce. Was up 100% when it was tapping on $440 price from $428. 1st mistake: didn't sell 1/2 there. Moved risk to consolidation at $434 (entry was $429, risking LOD @ $428). Added at $434: 2nd mistake adding when moving wrong direction. Hard day for calls. Had to be quick & not greedy

Entry: Evolved trader trade. Going for breakout on the daily chart, towards high of month break at 12.75. Setting risk at 11 support. 2:1 R:R at breakout level (take off half position), but looking for 3:1 R:R over breakout. Supply chain issues with wheat due to russia/ukraine war. Exit: Not a fast mover, and closed 1/2 at .86, then next day 3 at 1.00, then following day it fell back to .78 and got out b/c not enough momentum for me.

Ugh...well. Thought it could crack 720/730 region. I bought in AT THE BOTTOM near 720 at open and DID NOT WAIT for the covering to stop and dip buy to begin. Terrible entry with bad risk/reward. Needed to wait for failed bounce at top to get in, so that if that failed bounce later actually broke upward (which it did), I would have had a smaller loss than I did. No good. Learn.
