This post is for my learning and reference purposes only and is not a recommendation to anyone else.
Tim has done many blogs and videos that I continuously watch and read, something that has really stood out recently due to the current market we are in is some very sound advice Tim posted which if not read will go over ones head, if memory serves me correctly it was from one of his watch lists and a key learning element for me is to always understand why Tim is choosing specific stocks to put on his watchlist and this has for sure flicked the switch as to answering my question of WHY.
On his watchlist he wrote the following - "I've written half a dozen blog posts the past 2 months preparing for this exact moment, the big market crash, long story short, I'll look to DIP BUY any BIG PANICS on EARNINGS WINNERS that hold support (as opposed to just buying random big % losers or stocks that break multi-month support), and I'll also be looking to short sell many of these Supernovas".
To me that is one of the keys to setting up a good watchlist in these current market conditions and ensures that I am only playing the stocks that will give me the best odds of success. The reason I say one of the keys though is that this is purely based on understanding a bearish market and the correct patterns and stocks to play.
The bigger picture however is to make sure I have the stocks Tim sends out on my watchlist ahead of Tim to ensure I am compiling the correct stocks. In addition I will not limit myself to other possible stocks but ONLY if they fit the setups I understand.
REMEMBER Wayne!!! Its pointless having stocks on your watchlist if you do not know what you are going to do with them (unless you are just watching them to learn), so preparation is ALWAYS key to setting up your watchlist and the simple P.R.E.P.A.R.E TraderChecklist Tim has created needs to be adhered to if you want to make sure the stocks you have on your list match up.
Thanks I need it.
Cool no probs, as said it’s more for my reference but if find something that helps you then I’m glad I could help 😉
