Week 1 ($1403)
Starting the month off well. I am going to continue to focus on the best plays where i don't have to hold very long with strong upside potential and increase my position limit to $3000. Goal is to go for 5% gain on stocks that have 15%-25% upside potential. Will try to hold longer if the opportunity is there. Going for $300ish a day, protecting profits if i start losing. I have had a lot of green days so i anticipate a loss soon.
Week 2 ($4009)
25k net liquid with no pdt. Over traded like crazy Tuesday, made a lot and lost a lot. Wednesday was Better. Today I traded less but still over trading. Lots of lessons learned in the process. I need to focus on not changing my formula just because I can trade all day now. (Update 6/14) This week was CRAZY but not in a positive way. Most of my trades were 2%-6% profit. My intention was to put a profit buffer over 25k so I wouldn’t have to stress about losses and falling below the PDT rule. That strategy worked this week considering the markets were tanking near the end but I picked up some bad habits along the way. I still finished 4K profitable (and I wasn’t able to trade Monday) but I have to go into next week with a sustainable strategy. I can’t trade like shit for another weeks straight.
Week 3 ($-1856)
Things i did right - cut losses quickly
Things I did wrong - overtraded, traded alerts, stopped refining my strategy, traded mid day, did not sleep well, did not eat right, traded all day and forced trades. I learned a lot in the last two weeks and I am glad that trading the way I did is not sustainable because it was very stressful. Next week is all about getting back on track with my strategy and spending less time scrolling through chat. Very fortunate that I walked away with such small losses. I had to go through the pain myself to learn.
week 4 ($1457)
next week/month is going to be fucking awesome. Not much more to say. I’m refined.
last 2 days of the month ($1640)
my goal was to trade very little and wait for the best setups and it was good. I was able to trade with larger position sizes and not feel burnt out. I was at my computer only for power hours and stayed away in between. If I made a lot in the morning, I wouldn’t trade that evening. Less is more.
Hey, my name is Charles, had a question. Can you tell me in a sense what stands out the most of his challenge. Im really thinking of joining it.
