I have been a dedicated Tim Sykes student watching every single once of his youtube videos.... twice, and watching his dvd's like there is no tomorrow. I just finished watching Tim's How To Make Millions dvd for the second time. Finishing it off with his Harvard speech. What I learned from watching it 2 times and taking 2 separate things of notes is very eye opening and helpful to my trading. Top Take aways are:
- Cutting losses quickly and cutting losses intelligently are 2 COMPLETELY different things. Cutting losses quickly means just protecting yourself if you didn't take a starter position, just went in full size right away. Cutting losses intelligently is for example when you have a starter position on a short on a pump and dump and it keeps running but it obviously has to come down. Your could add into your position or simply wait for it to come down IF your comfortable with that
- Stick to your niche, what you are best at due to past performance and where you feel the most comfortable. This is the one or maybe two chart pattern where you feel most confident and where you are most profitable. Take those few patterns and do them over and over and over again growing your account and only stopping those pattern when they either dry up or you someone can't seem to trade them properly
- One strategy will not always work and you have to be open to adapting to new strategies that could even be in a new sector. Point is not to be so closed minded and be willing change, other wise you will be forgoing profits.
- Work to be adapting all the time to different market conditions and learning. Without education you might be able to profit for a while, but not forever. Life changes and don't forget it You must be continuously learning to further your education and profits
- The best thing for working on a new strategy is to start small. If its your first time trading a certain pet tern, don't risk your whole account. Start with maybe a couple hundred or a couple thousand dollars per trade, or whatever your comfortable with.
- Do not be discouraged by losses. Tim Grittani, arguable the single best trader in the last four years, lost none consistently for the first 6 months of his career. Losses can also knock your head straight if you start to get to cocky. Don't let the losses knock you down, keep grinding
- Stay on your grind 24/7 365 all day and all fucking night because you have people working around the clock to kick your ass and the only way to win is to outwork EVERYONE and be the best that you can be.
I cannot stress the importance of these enough, and thank you Tim Sykes for not only making these dvd's and videos, but for getting up everyday and going into the chatroom, answering questions and working very hard to educate others, and you do it for the right reasons too. Your entire How To Make Millions goes to charity and you want others to profit just as much (if not more) than you do. THANK YOU TIM. We all love you and if we do not say it enough, we really do appreciate it!!!
yes, thank you tim !!!!!!!!!!!
WOW.. Pastor Bowles preaching a sermon on trading. Hayden you always have great watch lists you trade smart you inspire me and as you said Tim is unreal. Well said!
hey @BowlesTrader5 , I'm always finding ways to perfect my strategy and I noticed a while back that you caught this billionaire play even before Tim. what news sources are you using? I backtested benzinga pro but noticed they alerted it but were a bit late to the party
they only mentioned Leon Cooperman's stake 3 minutes later
