$SORL long 6.25 (350 shares)
$SORL out 6.11 (350 shares)
Bought it when it broke yesterday's HOD (6.20) to 6.39 dipped to 6.10 and started holding 6.20. I was forced to cut losses as this was a fakeout and it just kept fading closing at 6.00.
$TGC long .96 (1000 shares)
$TGC out .94 (200 shares)
$TGC out .91 (800 shares)
Took a small position since it has a bigger spread. I tried to sell all of my shares at .94 to cut my losses but not many buyers so was forced to pay lower as it tanked to .81 seconds after I sold.
$IMGN short 4.80 (500 shares)
$IMGN covered 4.82 (500 shares)
$IMGN long 4.94 (500 shares)
$IMGN out 4.89 (500 shares)
These trades were all "no trades" and it was me trying to make a play happen. After practicing my discipline for so long it really frustrates to see me trading like this again. GREAT reminder to stay in the mindset of a retired trader and to only trade the best trades. In this case I should've only traded $IMGN on a breakout above 5.00 and since I don't have much capital i RARELY want to short a stock green on the day (front side) unless it's ridiculously over-extended (100%+).
So after being disciplined and trading only the best set-ups, im real disappointed with these trades (except the $SORL cutting losses was a good trade). A good 100th reminder for me to trade ONLY THE BEST TRADES and to stay in the mindset of a retired trader. All these except the $SORL were speculative and I don't want to trade speculative set-ups til I have more capital..
$NK short 4.19 (600 shares)
$NK covered 3.84 (600 shares)
This was a great set-up I just couldn't ignore. After having a 3 day run-up from 2.90 to 4.93 basically off no news this opened a great opportunity. After seeing this stock gapping down from 4.60 to p/m 4.20-4.30s I knew this was going to be the first red day so my plan was to short into any bounce. In hindsight I should've just ignored every other play as they didn't compare to this 1st down day yet I missed the big opportunity near the open.. what a great lesson I learned today. I missed shorting the morning bounce but caught it short when it broke 4.20 to 4.10 and failed to get above 4.20 (key level). I patiently waited as this was a slow moving stock yet was surprised it wasn't collapsing like I thought it would (gotta be patient shorting the backside). Although the LOD at 4.10 was holding and even making higher lows to 4.12/4.13 I was kept comfortable after seeing the bounces get smaller and smaller (bounced to 4.18, then to 4.16, n eventually feel off a cliff). I covered like a little betchh after seeing it wasn't breaking down exactly like i wanted to the 3.60s but im still adjusting to shorting the backside of the move so I'll take my profits and see how it plays tmr to learn from. I should still probably be short with the goal of covering into the morning panic tomorrow er.

$XGTI long 2.00 (700 shares)
$XGTI out 1.96 (700 shares)
$XGTI long 1.99 (700 shares)
$XGTI out 1.97 (700 shares)
$XGTI long 2.00 (800 shares)
$XGTI out 1.97 (800 shares)
So my old habit still hasn't completely gone. In my defense (offense really) this was a choppy stock... and I shouldn't have been trading it (unless I bought into right near the close if it held 2.00 for a morning gap-up/spike). I have to remind myself to be confident in the reason I entered the trade in the first place which all points back to staying in the mindset of a retired trader. If I can simply do that, I can trust in why I came out of retirement for that trade and be confident in my entry to not be shaken out so easily. GREAT LESSONS TODAY. Tomorrow I will REMAIN in the mindset of a retired trader and if/when a "perfect" play does come around ($NK style (1st red day after 3 green days)) I'll play aggressive and capitalize. If $XGTI held 2.00 (key level) into the close then I would consider it a play worthy of overnight but as I've learned from the past, I won't trust stocks that breaks/cant hold key levels into the close. It might go up but I don't know and when I don't know I won't do anything.
