Shorted this gold ETF on lower highs after a double top at 16.40. The stock fell off a cliff after cracking below 15. Covered half position at the bottom and the rest before market close when the price started to climb back.
Company reported strong earnings beat with double dividend payout - multiple analysts upgraded the price. Weng long and added on dip during pre-market. Sold into strong spike up to $55 the next day. Great trade, but should have waited to add on the dip at MO to full size with tight stop to maximize potential gains.
Bought aftermarket and sold at the open the next morning into lower highs
Held for longer than I should have, but did not reach my max loss at $120 at least.
Tried to buy a position to hold overnight anticipating a reversal and gap up on this ETF, but it gapped down instead. I was lucky to sell into the afternoon recovery to keep it a small loss.
Bought the dip off the market correction and good earnings report - should have held longer though since the stock climbed up to $35 before consolidating.
