Pre-Trade Checklist

Purpose:

This is a checklist that I use prior to conducting any potential trade(s) in order to make sure that I have prepared myself properly/correctly prior to trading any potential stocks. This is not an official/exact checklist and can be modified if need be based on your personal liking. This is to compliment Tim Sykes’ SSS.

 

Ø What is the VOLUME like?

 

Ø What is the CATALYST?

 

Ø What does the different CHART PATTERNS look like based on past performance and history of the stock?

 

Ø Any new or upcoming NEWS on the stock?

 

Ø What does the RISK/REWARD look like for YOU?

 

Ø What type of PLAY SETUP is best with this stock/chart? (i.e. Dip-Buy, Parabolic Short, Pre-Market Entry, etc.)

 

Ø Are you following YOUR PLAN and NOT someone else’s?

 

Ø What does the ease of ENTRY/EXIT look like for the stock?

 

Ø What does the overall MARKET CONDITION look like?

 

Ø Are YOU mentally ready to trade today? (i.e. other obligations, stress level, mindset, personal agenda, health, etc.)

 

Ø Have you PREPARED yourself for today’s plays? (i.e. review from last night)

 

 

Ø Have YOU reviewed your accounts, balances, limits, etc.
