I started my account with a mere $500 which isn't much. While I was trading I noticed I couldn't get anywhere without almost using my entire account. Which I didn't like. I am a waiter at BJ's Brewhouse in California and I have used my tips to help build my account. Either way I was going to get my account bigger either via trading or busting my ass somewhere else. I have gotten my account to $2000 and already I can see a difference. Just being able to invest into a couple dollar more penny stocks has really helped. The rule I have used most is cutting losses quickly but sometimes I did become a bag holder when I shouldn't have. I started trading in June and started following Tim two months after that....I think. lol. Having my account at $500 did make me really focus and be really meticulous. Maybe not meticulous enough though. Trading with a 2k account I am positive 2 out of 3 trades so far. I feel a lot more comfortable at a 2k account and for me it doesn't feel like gambling as much. Another rule I was trying to do with a $500 account was only use 40% of my account which was ridiculously hard if not most of the time impossible. Now I feel it is more reasonable to do and still grow my account. I had a couple major losses ($100 in a small account) which tested me on if I really want to do this or not but I stuck through it. I figured if I'm losing money than there are rules I am probably breaking. Or there were things I missed that I didn't know I was doing. A thing I really tried doing since my 2k account is not to rely on Tim so much and search everything myself than compare my watch list with what Tim had and what the differences are, plus why.
All of this has been a learning experience and am very grateful to have come across Tim to be able to learn what I know.

Currently I have 1000 shares of $MNKD in @1.44 ..... Long over night. Plan on selling into the morning. Wanted to avoid PDT since I have one left. Another thing also with opening a MARGIN ACCOUNT is that you don't have to wait for money to be settled but PDT does apply. If you qualify for a day trader with margin account than the rates on the margin account change I believe. That is another thing I am learning about right now since I just opened one last week. I kind of gave Etrade a series 7 exam. haha.
Also Etrade is the broker I use and this is my journey so far.
Thanks Tim. Once I can afford tuition I'll be your student as well, Lord willing.
Awesome story. Thanks for sharing!
@goodtimej Your welcome. One of my goals is to start posting more stuff not just for myself but to be able to share with everyone and to encourage others to write more too.
awesome ... I agree with you - "if I am losing money then I am not following the rules somewhere along my trading process.
@n24life Thanks a lot. Everything is coming together and I plan on trying to keep everything posted as well so people can follow along. It'll make it better for me too if people recognize I'm not sticking to something and calling me out on it. haha.
