This week's trading has been a rollercoaster ride of emotions to say the least. I'm short of time today as have been working hard in my full time job so will be quick here.
I learnt some valuable lessons over the past few days but things I will be doing next week are:
1. Trading Less. Without a doubt my eagerness to trade has blinded me to what's happening and i've found myself trading just to trade and ignoring the things I have been learning leading up to trading.
2. Waiting for Confirmation. Getting the best possible position on a losing trade sucks, better to wait for a slightly worse position on a winner.
3. Only trade stuff I have Pre Market Open Plan for. What I mean by this is I need to be aware of the stock and have a plan in place for it before the market opens, and I mean a plan.... I don't mean ' I plan to trade it '. This is to help keep my emotions in check but also to make sure I don't start the hunt for just any old thing to trade.
4. Reduced Size. This is because I am down a bit now and this learning curve will need more time but also I wasn't happy with the size of my losses and need to reduce that to an acceptable limit.
Ok so that about rounds it up for the week.
I would like to take this opportunity to reach out to anyone who has any feedback, observations, advice or help they can offer me at this very early stage of my trading career.
To Your Success.
