November 17, 2018 Trading Journal

I had a rough day on Friday. I made a couple of trades with KGKG and ended up with a $365 profit but I screwed up with DGAZ and ended up losing $98 bucks.  I do not have time to even explain it but I learned my lesson to take profits early,  I sold half at a profit and then held on to the other half way to long.  It dropped when I was not looking and then I just held and hoped, I finally cut the loss and then the dang stock took off on the up side, made me so mad!!!  Oh well.

I have been very discouraged yesterday and today with my trading and attitude.  Most days I am optimistic and excited that I CAN DO THIS and then there are days like now that I doubt myself and do not even want to study anymore.  I have pulled myself together by writing this down and I will study tonight and tomorrow to be more prepared for Monday.  I am still working up here on the North Slope and want SO BAD to learn how to be a good trader so I can go home to my wife and travel with her!

I listened to Mason Fecht video again and it really inspires me that I CAN DO THIS!

One of the things that has been hard is that I was paper trading on STT when the weed sector was hot and I was killing it and thought wow this is pretty easy.  And now that I am trading with real money there are not any real hot sectors and the stock market is crashing almost every day.  So I need to be patient and be PREPARED for the BEST set ups and don’t just trade to trade.  That is a really hard thing to do especially when you see other traders making money in the chat room.

Feels good to vent.  Rob
