Shoulda, woulda, coulda been a nice 20% green day for me on my small account. Straight from my watchlist, I was watching GBSN all morning as it seemed the best play of them all. Should of executed my buy and stuck to my gut but was too wimp to get in - missed opportunity.Congrats to those that profited it on it today and was chicken to get in. I also missed SXE which I called perfectly in m watchlist as I was too busy focusing on GBSN. Guess its just one of those days. Here's a review of the other tickers I had on my watch...
PIRS
Pharmaceutical company that has reported loss however was lower then expectations so has spiked after hours. $2 is a clear support area and would be where id look to enter as I’ve seen these plays spike recently, however if it fails or has no strength it could be a potential short with the bad news. This had weak volume this morning and failed its support level, which actually acted as a great entrance to short. Not expecting it to do a lot tomorrow so it’s off my watch.
PETX
Little pricey for my account however has good news on submission of its new animal drug. The news isn’t new however this could see another morning spike. The stock has support in the $4.80’s and if the volume is there in the morning I could see this filling yesterdays gap and hitting mid to high $5’s however will asses in the morning. Choppy morning, however it did hold its support in the high $4.80’s which I identified in my watch and after a slow start it did bounce and hit the $5.20’s. So not quite as high as I expected however it finished strong at $5.10, potential play for tomorrow, will review in my watch list later on this evening.
WATT
Was lazy and should of shorted this stock at $9.5 when I saw the news come out, however this stock is very pricey for my small account. The news is negative, effectively saying that their product is yet to be proven that it works. It has numerous support/resistance levels and dependent on pre market action I could see this stock crashing to the $7’s as its already seen it in after hours. Still regret not getting in this before the close yesterday even tho it would of only been a small position however it appears that $7 after hours was its low point. It crashed in the first minute at the open, however uptrended all day. I guess the Apple rumors are still giving it strength. Still a potential short IMO over the next couple of days.
MTSL
Spiked beautifully this morning on news of vastly improved earnings from 2014 and a positive cashflow. The stock closed strong, only 15 cents off its highs. I’m not sure how this will play out tomorrow as its now a day old however I will look for price action and volume in the morning. It has resistance at around the $1.20’s however if strong and stays above $1.06ish, with the right volume I can see this running to $1.20 or even the $1.40s, however, if $1.06 level fails then we could see a nice short opportunity as the results are still negative. Not much happening here today. It dropped below $1.06 in the morning but picked up throughout the day. Not volatile enough for me so off my watch.
SXE
Unsure if the news is positive or negative, however similar to MTSL it had a beautiful morning spike and it too has finished strong. Again I will look for news, price action and volume in the morning, Has support at $1.15 and if it breaks $1.3 convincingly I could see this quickly spiking to just under the $1.50 area, so a potential 15% gain here. Called this pretty well. Kicking myself that I missed it as I was too busy focusing on GBSN. After a small panic in the morning, it stayed above the $1.15 support level and spiked to the $1.30’s where it consolidated a bit. It then shot up to the $1.60’s. Great opportunity here, kicking myself that I missed it but oh well that’s the market for you.
GBSN
Up on positive FDA approval and grant. If this could break $.22 with strength I would look to get in with the aim of $.30ish. Called this perfect. Shoulda woulda coulda traded this, this morning, however was too much of a wimp to execute the buy. Watched this the whole way and was tempted to buy in when it broke the $0.22 support in premarket however was not confident trading then. I then waited for the pull back at the market open where I should of stuck to my gut and entered on the bounce at $0.25ish for a nice 20%+ gain.
