I don't think the SSR rule should apply when a stock falls 10% after it spiked over 100% the prior day.
Hi guys i have been trading for over 30 years I understand this but it is great to get the reinforcement from Tim's videos keeps you sharp you think you know everything but there is a lot to know better to be reminded before you get involved with an ISNS stock and panic when happens to you just use your head
The Fri. afternoon run up on ISNS is a great example of a Fri. short squeeze. Thanks Tim, for pointing that out.
I'm making sure that I weigh good /risk reward ratios. "It's ok to be (dead) wrong as long as you cut losses quickly." Good life lessons as well :))
cut losses, cut losses. the big secret .
New member....damn that is some great teaching. Kicking myself for not signing up years ago
Agreed @PatrickBateman47 if a stock rises more than 10%, nothing happens to it
This video is a great example of Friday. Short squeeze but overall a good day.
Shorting isn't all that great, all the good plays you can't find sorts or the SSR messes you up. Even though they are easy to spot on these, I prefer going long on the way up just is easier to play.
Good video, I knew about the rule but thought every company had to be traded like that.. Happy im wrong!! I did well only shorting last week. Small account and almost doubled it.. hopefully I can stay consistent.
Tim, Thank you for the clarification on the SSR rule..I thank you for your mentor ship
Hello Timothy, Thank you. Another thing learned!
"It's okay to be wrong but it's not okay to let the loses run" ; dude Tim thank you so much for your teachings
Great lesson....5 star
never forget about the Friday afternoon short squeeze possibility....
watched!
Do the SSR vigilant all the time? I guess is just temporary. Well done
clear to me. this increases my greed exponentially
this lesson shows the importance of knowing the SSR rule and how it works and how others might view it, Also shows the even more important lesson that cutting losses quickly at key levels can save you from a Big loss. Once again showing that the Rules are Golden Very good lesson =)
watched and learning!
Be aware of the ssr and if it don't crack then cover!
Cut losses quickly when you're wrong, and cover when stocks don't crack. Especially if its under the SSR.
Thank you TIM!!!
More like the USSR because it was implemented by a bunch of commies...... ok it's late forgive me
Thanks again!
Lessons learned: SSR - short sale restriction protects companies from being shorted into oblivion… companies can only be shorted in upticks; Triple tops work.
TY Tim
Some traders get long biased with the SSR because they know how it can create short squeezes.
Thanks Tim!

Thanks for the video Tim. Good example of Friday shorts squeeze on a stock that has been tanking hard off the highs. This held $6.42 support twice on Friday which was enough to squeeze shorts into the close for $.30. Most likely gets another squeeze higher on Monday then fails back to support.
