lol Tim you are the man, copy/paste this info. Hoping one day I'll be a millionaire ! Respect!
Wicked Post Tim
Great stuff!
This lesson actually reminds me of Reminiscences of a Stock Operator by Jesse Livermore. And thus it proves the fact, that the market doesn't change so as the wisdom that applies for perfect plays.
Great video on some basics. Just became a student this month. A little overwhelming but it's starting to sink in. Thanks.
Love your lessons Tim!!
Only 9 days into TIm's challenge and I already experienced first-hand the issues Tim often talks about with not having the right broker. I currently use Scottrade (waiting on SureTrader to open) and I missed a short opportunity on WATT when it went g/r. I would've made $2,000+ but instead settled for $600. Overall still a great day for me but definitely felt the limitations with a mediocre broker. Really in awe that my studying of Tim's strategy already paid off. Can't wait to learn more.
Anyone experience software issues with suretrader pro on mac?
All good stuff. Sniper/target clarity is key, I realize, along with trigger control! Sometimes find myself drifting into longer term mentality, and usually pay a price for that. Thanx. Peter.
Easily one of the best videos you've made imo. Thanks a lot tim!
Guidance and mentoring...YES.
Tim you are such and inspiration to all of your students..One of your best lessons thus far..Thank you.
Wow, I felt like this video was speaking directly to me. All great points. Kudos Tim.
Great video! Thank you for sharing
Thanks Tim for the advice. It's always good to go back and review the basics. And for all the newbies try to focus on learning and not trading. The stock market is tricky and there is so much to learn before going out there and trade frequently.
Excellent recap... need to hear it over and over to not get sucked in overtrading... and learbn to wait for the right opportunity. Thank you!
Thank you for the work you put into these videos!!! I know how valuable time is and you give us tons of yours!!!! For that reason alone (there are many others) I will dedicate my time to becoming one of your students. Talk to you soon!!!
Thanks!! Great as usual
Great video. I am just starting out and I have been making those mistakes of buying this one and that one. Losses seem to be higher than the gains so far so I am ready to change my strategy and try to discipline myself from buying stocks that are not the perfect setup. Thanks for the wisdom!
THANKS TIM!!
Nice video!
Great lesson, Tim, thanks for posting. For us newbie traders, cutting losses quickly, not over trading, and the related point of staying all in cash so as to not miss the real opportunities are hard lessons to learn -- and typically learned only after making those mistakes and suffering the consequences.
Keep sending the lessons, I'll keep watching!
more of these every day thank you again
TIM! Make this a PDF and send it out! I would love to print this out and paste it next to my computer! Discipline and Technique! It's perfect!
If this is what I have to do to achieve the millionaire goal, count me in... #thatstooeasy Tim..
Hey Tim, everybody is going to school and getting degrees to become educated and make more money, only few percentages make it and they don't even make millions probably throughout their lives. "I am one of them" I believe I have the opportunity to become a millionaire and I won't stop till my brain is fried... THANK YOU TIM.
Great .. greeting from Saudi Arabia .The best lesson. Hop you can always make it that simple step by step guide. Will done
Good to see people checking in from all over the place! Tim's global trading tutorials. Onwards and upwards.
anyone.. the past week I haved notice tim mention an expose. what is an expose? my assumption is a bad article from seeking alpha.
@Andrewpak23 Big time on windows. Their web platform is not working properly either. I quit using them.
@g_norwoodjr An "expose" is generally a write-up, in this case, Seeking Alpha, which is one of the most popular financial sites on the net. Many stocks run, or tank, based on Seeking Alpha articles.
@Andrewpak23 I started on their web-based level I platform and all worked well. After they upgraded the level I platform, I could no longer place trades. Even DAS tech couldn't figure out why! I was forced into their software-based level II platform, which is more complicated then it has to be, but has worked well on my PC.
great lesson thank you
One of the best videos, thanks!
amazing basic video lesson! thank you. How can they think the rule number one is not cutting your losses quickly? I just don't get it
Got it!
Excellent information
I just got some tim DVDs there pretty good I'm watching it now
Just f. AWESOME!!! Thanks, Tim, you are truly an inspiration; every time i see your vid ( and I saw them all last year...) I feel that I can do this....
Just f. AWESOME!!! Thanks, Tim, you are truly an inspiration; every time i see your vid ( and I saw them all last year...) I feel that I can do this....
@Ufu which broker are you using now?
@Andrewpak23 That's odd. I just replied, but I guess it got lost. I'm with eTrade since April 23rd and I'm very happy with their customer service and the clear statement. I can't say this about ST. The eTrade Pro platform is for free if you execute 30 trades within a calendar quarter. I executed 13 trades already and I'm up $ 700.- from my initial deposit of $ 2,000.-. The PDT rule help me to not take random plays that come across. Sure I missed out on a big one today, but that's ok. Good luck.
@Ufu Is E-Trade Pro still offering their level II free is you make 30 trades in 3 months?
@Ufu awesome. Thanks for the info. are you trades posted?
@PeeOn Yes it is Level II. I absolutely love it. Thanks for the Karma. :))
@Andrewpak23 No, not yet. I will do it at one point, but SureTrader is keeping me very busy. At once all issues are resolved, I will start looking into how to verify the trades.
@Ufu OK I may have to go there from Optionshouse. I have ST as my main for PDT and shorting reasons.
thanks
@PeeOn Same reason why I had an account with them, but not worth the trouble. I bought only long with eTrade so far. I definitely want to grow my account to have more options with brokers who offer more shorts than eTrade, but I'm super happy with their customer service and the clarity of the account. Very professional.
@Ufu The trick with ST is to use their software-based level II platform. They have to many shorts available to just quit using. They are almost as good for shorting as Master Tim's secret broker--at a fraction of the cost. Just use them for shorts. Versatility is a must in Bear markets.
@PeeOn ST's Level II never worked properly. I lost $ 170.- because of that. Next thing: I bought a long position of 3000 shares, but had 6000 showing up in my account on the web platform. THEIR advice: sell 6000, even though it showed only 3000 in iBoss. Next thing I know I was short 3000........and help, IF they can help you is sloooooow. The list goes on and on. Like posting a win of only $ 90,- instead of $ 180.-. I am definitely done with them. Not looking back. :)
@Ufu WOW! Now I understand. The web-based platform was not snycing with the level II software based platform. Which is why I never try to log in on the web-based platform. Since it wasn't working, I figure It will just mess things up. Thanks for the info.
This is the best lesson yet.....simple and to the point. I've book marked this lesson as a lesson to fall back on at any time and point. Thank you Tim!!
a really really good lesson
Thanks...
A vital trading message Tim - Thanks a stack [Note to Self]: if the trade does not go as you PLANNED (beforehand) then get out of the trade - any other action (staying in or reversing) is a guessing game!!!
