At the end VLNX had a crazy panic then what looked like a weak bounce that was heading lower so disastrous over night setup. Overnights are risky, possible panics, spikes, pullbacks that look like panics but just people taking profits so they ramp back up, spikes because people see a stock up trended all day and closed at its highs but could possibly also drop due to longs taking profits.....What are some ways to better predict what will happen next morning.

In reverse a stock that downtrended massively and finish low could spike due to short covering for profits.

Bought $NTE as it was a former runner weeks ago but was doing much except for consolidating above $6.80 resistance. Now is re-spiking due to price action. Good dip buy in the morning when there is a small morning spike to show strength and added in the afternoon when it was going to breakout again.

Super good lesson, thanks Tim. Lots to learn from here with a stock that's hovering at a consolidated level off of its recent spike. Interesting to learn that a block trade can act as a catalyst, but if you're in near that consolidation it mitigates risk/reward. Also, good to learn that the fact that it's a Chinese company needs serious consideration because expose's can crush you. Never would have thought of that.

I remember $NTE. It had that big spike 2 weeks ago. It has been holding support around 6.75 and it couldn't break it. After you bought you got a volume spike and it spiked hugely. Nice lock in after it. Big potential news coming added to your long term account. Short term you don't want to hold too long because there is no real catalyst. Also it is a former runner from 2003. It likes to spike very quickly. Crazy how it went to $10 dollars 10 days later.
