I like dip buying for a quick gain. I would assume you want to show your students with larger accounts how to size up, or you want to have enough size to capitalize on earnings season to donate the maximum amount of money?

Speaking of $ENRT, I'm looking at the SEC filing right now as part of the assignment for Day 24 of the bootcamp. If anyone is interested, look up the 10-Q and just read the "Summary" paragraph. I wouldn't be surprised if the stock is being pumped or if they're going to use this momentum to do an offering in the near future. Tune in next time ;D

I like to short panics first, dips second. Although never shorted a panic. Going to a broker than can provide shares to short for lower priced stocks soon.

I'd really like to short but I'm using TDAm so, practically impossible to do. Although It might be a good thing not to short for now while I'm getting my timing and confidence on b/o and dip buys. Can't wait to be able to short but I understand it's a marathon not a sprint.

KeithCronin
KeithCroninOct 08, 20 11:23 PM

Morning panics happen so fast that it's a finger flick trade. It's almost stressful, but it depends on the float and how high up the stock already is on the daily. I say buy the dip.

Rak
RakOct 08, 20 11:27 PM

Oh forgot my guess; initially I was thinking it might be for top students but after listening a bit longer it seems like maybe you want to call out any haters to try and prove you're a fake. As you're clearly not, your Million would be safe and who knows, maybe someone will be dumb enough to give you a Million. LOL

honestly like buying but could have shorted if I had more experience. Noticed LKNCY was a "cup and handle" 2 days ago, but had to fly to Ohio for a 2 day job. watched it breakout, and watched it cliff dive #4 and then bounce #5 but couldn't trade it because I ran out of trades (PDT). but its ok at least I was on the right track and will catch the next one. Thanks Tim

I prefer the morning panic dip buys, but also look for dip buys later in the day when the opportunity presents itself. Ideally dip buy with patience. Haven't tried shorting and it will be a while before I'm comfortable in doing so. Learning about Supernova's, and liking that pattern when one comes about

Polarwolf
PolarwolfOct 09, 20 1:59 AM

still learning, but I think I'd go for the panic dip over anything else. seems the most predictable, and don't know where to go for shorting yet as I'm in Europe. nice to see you point out AGE though, made a 27% and a 10% gain on that as my first profits. was awesome :)

I like to look for what is working with a ticker on a given day - even if it is only a 5% move. I'm looking for consistency over the long term. I like to be able to identify what is happening and make a trading plan quickly in my mind - in preperation for a move later in the day. The money wire to account - that must be in preperation to teach students how to adapt to a bear market :-)
