Lost on VOXX too, not that glorious but at least I cut my losses quickly, since I can't afford any on a small account.

@timothysykes In learning from ur error 2day, was there a short sell option on this stock? Looked like from 10:30-12:00 Covering from $8.82 to $8.10 would have been a good play?

Tim I hope you don't get this the wrong way but sometimes I skip some of your videos when I'm on a tight schedule BUT I always make some time to watch your "How I lost.." ones, I found them really raw and informational and to be honest more relatable. Thank you sir !

@ViorelPop91 Do NOT "skip" any vid's. You never know when the slightest thing that Brother Tim says will be your "come to Jesus/AHA" moment." Save the emails and watch the vid's later when you have time.

@hillbilly101 What Tim does is called TRANSPARENCY, we all know the stock market is risky, everybody have the right to make mistakes, sometimes we win and sometimes we learn, thanks to @timothysykes people like me can keep the hope and dreams alive, if it doesn't work for you just stop complaining and find a part time job where you can have a paycheck every week without risk. No pain no gain bro

Thanks Tim, so much is valued and appreciated. I noticed in this video it seemed textbook for your description of "DOUBLE TOP" Page 109, Chapter 7(When the levees break), "An American Hedge Fund".. I am new to this industry and look forward to learning from everyone as well as hopefully delivering substance to peers. "Thank you, again" IF there is anything any addition that can be included to reference, it is always appreciated, peers, Tim or otherwise.BE Well

Hey Tim, thanks for the lesson man. One question though: when you bought at 8.80ish with 50 cents reward what was your risk to the downside?

Chicago777
1
Chicago777Nov 29, 15 12:52 AM

But they make for very good lessons tho!, we get to see what not to do and why & how you must cut losses quickly to protect because if you don't then you will open the door to a massive unnecessary loss, this example was a very poor r/r ratio it was in the negatives! the potential was .50 cents and the risk was around .70 cents a very bad ration thus why the trade went wrong to begin with, when you choose bad trades and you don't cut losses quickly you get bad results.

Always important to get into a trade with a plan and stick by it. The easiest way to blow up your account is to deviate from the plan and keeping adding to losers. If this was a short and it kept running this could have been a much bigger loss. $VOXX was a recent runner that left a bad taste in the mouth and has a good technology. However, never invest in these because of the product.
