Thanks Tim for these vids! I took that $EFOI trade yesterday & got out at a small loss. Not every trade wins-but now have to wait 3 days before trading again. This will force me to STAY FOCUSED ON THE SOLID PATTERN LONGS with contract & earnings winners. Again, thanks for everything that you are teaching us! :))

Awesome video Tim.. I stayed away from $BABA even though the gambler in me wanted to risk it.. From listening and learning from you, I didn't touch it.. thank you. I made 10% on my account today being safe, taking profits and ...well being a little bitch..(lol) but you know what?... It's gonna be a nice weekend because this week I had a gain and not a loss... all because I am listening to you and learning your rules... Thanks!

First time I ever stayed in chat all day. I have a day job. I too was excited about the IPO and was very tempted to buy in. I haven't done my first trade yet. As I watched the chatter I watched Tim execute 2 trades on CNET and post his results it mostly went unnoticed in chat. He was making $$ while others watched an IPO that was sold behind the scenes and by the time it was released to the public it popped for just a brief second to $99 bucks a share and went back down to $92. It opened at $93.

Thanks Tim, very valuable. I would love to see a video on how you find sympathy plays, maybe it´s not just one way, but a few thoughts would be a good video lesson perhaps?

Enjoying the video lessons on the iPad… are you planning on having a Android app? May you also render a video lesson on finding sympathy plays too?

You nailed this one, Brother Time! All effin' day long I had to listen to the lame-stream, drive-by, A.D.D, media pumping the Chi-Comm's with less than a 50% pop! Meanwhile, I'm shorting schitt up over 200%!! WTF, over?! Pathetic!

Thanks for drilling the point into us stubborn students. Eventually I'll throw away any bias and believe in the patterns and lessons and just do it

Just signed up for Pennystocking sivler, already learned a valuable lesson today. When a penny stock doubles in price, its madness! and eventually will need to be shorted soon :D Thanks Tim

Very good lesson on how Sympathy plays can be Very good opportunity when a sector leader is Hot and the sympathy play shows the right Indicators to initiate a wise decision, You gave an example on how you also like to short them once the Leader starts to have indicators of slowing price action Great r/r opportunity since the catalyst was the leaders price movements, Always Following the Rules at All times cutting losses and protecting profits Very good info/Lesson

There are multiple angles/ opportunities with sympathy plays!

stocks are irrelevant because there is no edge ... You need to remove some of the randomness and ask. How a stock moved, not why. Do not predict what stocks will do, just react .. Don't gamble, scalp, or guess. Focus on sympathy plays for hot sectors, you have an edge .. They can react for a bit, but then die off when sector hype dies.

Say No to drugs kids, and IPO's

Conner_TaMader
Conner_TaMaderSep 11, 17 7:08 PM

Regarding $BABA it is better to trade the sympathy plays to it. $BABA is a one time event because there is no other IPO as big as this so you can't compare it to something. Unlike these sympathy plays you can look at the past and see what their spikes are like and other sympathy plays in the past. $CNET was a nice one picked by Superman that ran from $1.20 to $2.60s today. Most likely will fade later in the week but for now it is a nice play into the hype.
