Do you have trade previews turned off? On ToS I use the active trader window . I set it up to hit the bid with auto send toggled on. Makes buying and selling a whole lot quicker.
I bought this stock at .51 with a target sell of .56. I had a stop loss just below VWAP, around .46. But it dropped lower before I could sell and get out. Small loss in the scheme of things.

@LibertyBelle I don't have trade previews turned off because I'm usually looking for the right entry and reviewing before I hit save/send.

That’s why you are missing your exits. You need to be quick. Active trader has a toggle for it, so you can turn it off when you want to be more careful. When you are trying to get out of something you need to be quick if it’s dropping past your stop.
