This was pretty frustrating. It played out so well in premarket, where I shorted and covered from around 2.10 for $1400 realized. Then I reshorted and held through the squeeze for a slight margin call, wiping out all my realized gains. Before the squeeze it dropped to 1.55 and there were no shares on IB. I should have covered as when shares run out like that and I have no adds or room to add I can get in trouble. In the end it had an offering and I got out for small gain. Frustrating.
