This was partly due to doing options for the first time. Tried to do a covered position on a put, but then had to read the terms quickly as I can and also figure out the options premium, whether to sell the option short or hold it long. etc. I realized the loss upfront because of the opportunity cost early morning to buy another stock. It worked out bc I got the notional of options and realized some gains elsewhere.
