Shorted stock from my watch list in April and held for my $22.00 price target. I still have 100 shares left.

@Turbobob impressive.....can you pls share a bit as to why you held it so long and what were you thinking in terms of risk and reward before you entered this? also, i believe you use IB for shorting....does it allow you to hold for so many days for free or incurs a fee?

Hi Bob. Amazing trade. Was wondering though. What made you hold for so long? Where did that conviction to hold come from? Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

I had a small position and just after I put on the trade it collapsed so I had lots of room. And the chart was so ugly I thought I would just let it run. So I just kept moving my price target down and my stop losses. But I kept the stops at a wide berth and I never got stopped out so I let it run. I am still short part of the position. We'll see where it goes.

@Turbobob thanks bob..forgive my ignorance.......but i recently came across that brokers charge interest on shorts and do they charge any fees proportionate to how many days one holds before they cover?

Nice trade. That is one ugly chart...of course I'm sure it looks beautiful if you're holding a short position.

@april4 Brokers charge a fee for lending you the stock. Generally it is based on a percentage of the value of the stock times the amount of time you borrow the stock just like if you get a loan from the bank. For instance, my borrowing costs for CATM were about $300 to hold it that long.
