Michael Good Morning. Since this is a complete new world for me, I've been reading and studying before even trying to execute any order. Last week, I opened an account in e-trade and now I'm paper trading (only) until my new computer arrives (Stocks-to-Trade doesn't run good in my computer). I know that you're not here for assisting as an e-trade customer support but I think my question is related to concepts instead. Here's what happened to me today while paper trading: I placed an order and the same was filled (AMBL 10,000 SHARES @ $0.76). Now, I'm trying to sell and e-trade is telling me that I "can't short" which is true; but my request was for selling the very same that I already bought. What am I missing here?
