Averaged in at $.0973, out at $.0681 for 900 shares. I had an ok position on this one after a decline, but couldn't wait it out after getting crushed on DRYS. I felt it was best to consolidate and go after all of the plays I've been missing while holding. Lessons: don't trade just to trade, play on price action. In and out, especially on downtrending charts.

Averaged in at $.1715, averaged out at $.0951 for 10k shares. Terrible trade, got caught in the drop and kept averaging on hope. I missed a chance to get out with a super nice profit by being too greedy, then just couldn't let it go and the markets tanked and took me down with them. Lessons: don't be greedy, some gain is better than a loss any day. Don't let your money hang around and fall victim to market conditions. In and out, that's the way she likes it.

Averaged in at $.1663, out at $.167 for 9000 shares. The pucker factor was strong with this one and the short holiday week got me all emotional. The stock tanked and I averaged down to a good position for today. I knew if the stock passed $.16 it would go to $.19, but put my order in to break even and get out after the rollercoaster and potential big loss. I recovered and got out, then she went to $.20+. Left $400 on the table, but happy to recover. Lesson: trust your gut, leave emotions out.

In at $1.65, out at $1.84 for 500 shares. I talked myself out of a few entries on this one and finally decided to play it late for a squeeze run-up. I sold prematurely due to excitement as my baby account broke into 4 digits! I had the right idea on this one, a great entry and a decent exit for an afternoon play. Lesson: more patience on this one would've landed a good bit more profit. Find a balance between greed and patience. End of week run-up was perfect!

In averaged at $.1679, out at $.191 for 4460 shares. Got into this one way too high. The price dropped and I was able to average down over a couple weeks to go from a big loss to a nice gain. Sold today on patent news. Lesson: it is possible to turn a loss into a win by averaging your position down, but don't ride a loser into a deeper hole. Ensure the stock has room to recover.

Averaged in at $1.01, out for $1.38 for 350 shares. This was my first trade. I got in knowing it has occasional spikes and averaged my position down over time. However, I misjudged the spikes and missed several opportunities to get out with a good profit. I was shooting for the $2+ spikes it has every few months, but I had to lower my standards to match the stock currently playing out lower than the start of the year. This is my first 3 digit profit! Lesson: less greed = more money in hand.

In at $.1553, out at $.1705 for 250 shares. Found this one with a screener, saw it moving quite a bit (20%+) premarket and got in on the dip after open. I missed the bottom by a penny or so, and had a great exit, but was too slow to grab the $.18s. Good, quick trade for almost 10%. Lesson: do more chart study before open to prepare for highs and lows for the day instead of just winging it. Failing to prepare in this case missed out on 2x the profit.

In at $2.93, out at $3.00 for 38 shares. Got in a little too high and it didn't do much as it was already at the upper end of its range. I held through the holiday thinking it would go up and it did, but not much. Exited on the climb and missed out on a few cents, but still a gain and a lesson, so I'm happy. Lesson: be aware of the price range and do not enter near the top. Good exit on the climb.

In at $.1249, out at $.152 for 80 shares. This was a small boredom trade from my screener watchlist that turned into a great trade. I was forced to hold overnight due to PDT rules. The stock opened higher and had a strong day. Made 20% on $10! Lesson: be more aware of recent day trades, keep up with the screener to see if the parameters produce consistent performing stocks.

In at $.3198, out at $.3414 for 100 shares. This was a stock I found using a screener, which is still new to me. I didn't see any news or catalysts other than volume, so I jumped into this one because of the price action. However, my entry was too high; didn't chase, just late to the game. May have left some on the table since it's still early, but grabbed an acceptable 6-7%. Lesson: do more research, no catalyst is a no-go. Worked this time. This time...
