New trader here and thanks for expressing and sharing your exp so far with trading. I love how you're still not quitting on this day trading gig! Love the community so far in this. I'll def check out your videos and your adventure to success!
Hey man. I really appreciate the honesty in this post. I'm also a new trader and it has been pretty tough for me to make gains as well. I also started out as a TimSykes silver subscriber. I watched a few of his videos, and I subscribed to his chat room for 2 months. I found it hard to get good entries into a lot of the stocks posted in the chat room, because, by the time the plays were posted, those stocks were already spiking. So doing your own DD is crucial for success,or you'll end up being a
..bag holder for traders who got in early. I'm not knocking Tim's services, though. He does a great job laying down the foundation for beginners, and he stresses on us to adhere to very important trading principles (cutting losses early, etc). Still, there are many other helpful resources you can use: investorshub, equityfeed.com, investorsunderground, etc.
Don't get discouraged. I was down $6K and took the time to study and paper trade. Find a strategy that worked and then it all clicked. Keep plugging away and it will get better.

It is the most important rule even 5 year olds should do it .. Repetition. Is not needed those that do not understand don't want to succeed.. Simple as that ... Harsh maybe but as Geico says even a caveman can do it
Ayye Tim agreed I saw that and thought that was funny but true @timothysykes
That guy held overnight like many of you do. So maybe the lesson here is do not hold overnight, or watch every second of after-market and pre-market? Sleep is for the weak!
The major catch on this stock was the float it was only 2.5ish million. So after market the float is drops again making it highly volatile...thats why shorting low floats overnight needs some additional safety measures

@Ike Goodmorning. What was the amount you started with at IB? I see the majority of your profits are made with short selling. How do you reason with your position sizing as I see trades of 6K (that's not small for me:-)) Thanks !
I started with 18k of my own capital but used much less than that per trade .Position size is something that you slowly increase over time as you grow your account and get more comfortable taking on bigger risk. Make sure u trade very small until you develop consistency

@nelsdawgy great video here man, this is extremely helpful. Try not to be so hard on yourself, negative self talk is not very productive towards success. Learn what went wrong and do your best to tell yourself that you can improve!
great lesson
Great video, Nelson. Thanks so much, Be Well and continued success
