Entry: Again trying to identify something that might break out mid day. Exit: This thing just plodded along forever sideways and when it finally moved, it went south. Cut out as fast as I could. Learned that slooow is probably bad and that all those 100 shares at a time type of transactions are not necessarily a good sign. Back to studying.

Entry: Taking small position on SKYS. Looking for a mid day breakout. Exit: Failed to spike. But, working on controlling position size and cutting losses (discipline). Holding would have worked out in the longer term. Hard to know when to hold vs fold, but it could always go the wrong way even more like with my previous ATHX.

Entry: ATHX is still going and still could reach $3. Try to dip buy and let it go for a few days this time. Exit: Dyngus day panic on no news does not make any sense. Reduced my position to a more reasonable size but at a loss. Some recovery the next day, then another panic. Cut out before all my recent gains were erased. Pay attention to meaningful group behaviors in premarket and aftermarket, check RSI, and use smaller position sizes appropriate for a small account.

Entry: Banged my head finding earnings winners. Rejected $ATHX, $NAVB and $LUNA for different reasons. Found GBSN in StocksToTrade (premarket gainer). Excitement across the internet for the FDA clearance made me join in pre-market, which I am wary to do. This is likely to be a multi-day breakout. Exit: Totally right idea! Still don't know how to exit. Failed exit 4 times and bailed when it dived on the R/S. Need to mentally adjust for slow E*Trade execution compared to StocksToTrade Data.

Entry: Despite many bad indicators, this company keeps rising since bad earnings announcement. Has patents and IP recently dated but reports of ~60% short interest. Waiting for it to spike from a squeeze. Exit: No spike in two days. Read that options expiry was partly to blame for $2 consolidation on the 18th. Too big to move fast and too many big players interested in this one. Took partial profits and waited for a spike past 2.18 which failed. Got out at 0.10 per share gain.

This was failure. The price caused a gain of $100 or so and then all of a sudden, the price dropped to an uncomfortable level, and then dropped some more. I entered a sell order to cut losses but it did not get executed and the price broke resistance. I held onto it. Terrible play. The price skyrocketed again at the close for a double top and I was able to get out with a gain. Almost lost a third of total gains from over the past few weeks. Time for this part-timer to take a short break.

Entry: ATHX can spike, but it is a slow mover that can take three weeks to peak. Looking for it to climb to near $3, but will hold for a while. Exit: Holding for a couple of days really tests my comfortability! I tried taking some initial profits so that I could be less nervous about the ups and downs, but after two days of sideways actions, decided to exit. Overall, a good earnings play!
