Last batch of trades in 2024
Should’ve sold at open. I thought MAT would go a little more. I ended up losing about $10-$15 in profits. Good thing I sold because I could’ve lost more.
Entry comments: Home from airport just in time to catch up on breaking news of the day. Saw $MAT who doesn't know Ken and Barbie. $MAT finished green with Volume. Ken and Barbie movie took top sales spot over the weekend. this is a sell into strength and don't hold into earnings in 2 days.
Exit comments: This was a swing trade the Friday before the movie opened. The priced dipped the finished the day green with volume. This stock had everything going right into Monday morning. Great news catalyst, record box office sales, Chat room pumps, National news coverage! Monday morning price action was a dud .
B/O through resistance failed. Sold for breakeven.
Market quickly turned red after the open. Mattel had positive news and was up trending. I figured I'd cash in on some of the fun. It didn't move much, but it did move in the right direction.
After it had a big drop in the morning I thought I would try to swing this the rest of the day. But it did not go far from the 21.60's. So got out about 1/2 hour before closing.
didn't like the way it was going with the market doing its thing so cut my losses
