Bought the dip after a gap up to the low 6s in after-hours. I focused on potential gains rather than defining a risk level, resulting in a bad trade due to a lack of a trading plan.
AH RCT with news. Spiked and dumped and I didnt cut it and took a big loss. Stupid trade stupid loss. Ruined my day. Another dumb trade!!!
Stop loss was mentally set at 12.61 but I had to cut it early because I got confused on the closing time before the holyday weekend and I was not planning on holding over the weekend on my long. Mistake registered on my mistake journal. Closing strong I believe that could be a gapper but I need to focus on the process and seems to me that I started to visualize what the stock could do depending on the catalyst and hot sector. @Timothysykes thank you.
Attempted to break out, couldn't do it on 2nd or 3rd day, held too long, took a small hit. "Cut losses quickly"!!!! Damn it, listen to the Fricken rules!!
bought at market close, some BS news came out pre market next day... had a chance to break even and got greedy like an idiot. lesson learned
