Horrible chasing trade on an actual company using low float thought plan... backfired
Same thing as all my three trades today. I won them all in terms of being positive, but I had set Exit Gain's that were way too low, and when I tried to exit out of them to sell in market at higher price, it was way too late. GEO as you see went up to 24.4 today, i exited at 22.69. Lesson learned.
Was breaking out but I was too late in the action
STT Breaking news alert, saw a solid value trade if it popped with news, otherwise hopped for enough volume to exit. It eventually did pop and hit $14 and I got out the second it did, no real volume came in to support the move.
Entry comments: FINVIZ scanner, AM gap-up, analysts increase targets to $23 & $15. {ATR .43] Stair-stepper chart pattern since SEP-23 from low @ 6.94. Channel UP 1-2 month steps. Dip buy on mid-month trough. 52-wk high on 2/28 @ 12.53. Risk .43, reward .86. Opened with 1 sh., watching for strength, then added 9 sh. near close at 11.94. (Looking for 12.80, over next couple days.)
Exit comments: Never got going, high 12.02, no rebound. Set LMT near close to fade to a wash. Not a loss ;-)
Swing trade
Gave it time, was hoping for a breakdown but ill just cover instead of holding over the weekend on a stock that closed at its highs
Gave it time in a bad market, Didnt break down the way i wanted. Give it some time and maybe entry closer to 12.30 resistance
