I believe I've had an Aha moment when things clicked and I think I got it, at least some of it. I sized way down so I could prove my thesis.

Because I sized way down to prove my thesis, I should have let the previous trade play out, but old habits are hard to break, so I went back in to see if I could make any of the $.50 per share I left on the table back. Unfortunately, I went back in at the high, so I need to concentrate on allowing my plan to run even if I lose. That's the whole reason for sizing way down on the higher priced stocks.

Played the first small dip. Almost straight to red after entry. Gave it time to come back. Didn't happen so I exited

Took this position on a coal play with Trump signing an executive order; nice run to the HOD; looked like a double top so I took my gains...nice friggin breakout though. No worries...I took a piece of the move and made $100+ in an hour. Nice Afterhours trade.

Entered this long position when the price was breaking out to new highs. Unfortunately, the breakout did not hold. Closed when the price dropped through the mid level support.
