This was a good loss, as it downtrended to 2.3. It keeps bouncing off this 2.2-2.3 range. I go back in later at that 2.3 range since I see that this is a good range for the stock before the breakout. It did bottom at that 2.2 (the price before the breakout), but it never went under my 5 percent stop, so I held on to it and it had a breakout at open bell.

Thought about swinging this from last night and selling today. But I didn't, and then it went from 12 to 19 in early pre. After taking so many small loses. I had it in my mind that if I just go in slowly, and then average down, it should pop eventually somewhere. And so I did just that. First of all this breaks the never go more than 20 percent of your account rule. And second of all, this isn't true...a stock can keep downtrending. This stock is currently trading at 3. See blog notes.

Still trying, but kept downtrending. Did work for profit on one or two attempts but with a trailing stop on a downtrend ended up not working for taking profit. Hit .55 and bounced off that, and was trying to get in on the way up later but then was out of capital. The real play here was either before the breakout, or was when it finally hit that .55 as a support. But see blog on this because I am learning a lot about what I am doing wrong and some strategy changes that I will be making.

The first time the 5 percent trailing stop loss worked. Would say that I do like this feature, as it takes stress and emotions out. Most trades would have become profits instead of losses with this method, but what I like about it is that the losses are set and small. Big thing is losses. I can make profit, but to cut the losses early has been a problem so this method helps that. It doesn't work in pre or AH, only during the trading day. So still only 20% of account in the trade to shelter it.
